The personal touch and hospitality was more than the 5 stars. This is the best Motel we have stayed in because of the extra care taken to just add little Bischoff and the delicious homemade lemon loaf. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Thank you.
A wonderful place to stay in the gorgeous Mountain town of Kimberley B.C. The room had one of a kind decorations in it and it was very clean and well stocked. The property is beautiful with a large garden, and a gazebo, and an awesome hot tub. Friendly staff and a short drive from city center and the Platzl. Good rates too. Highly recommend it. Will stay again.
My husband and I recently stayed at the North Star Motel. We were greeted by Trish when we checked. Lovely gal. Our stay was very enjoyable. Love the décor in the room and the outside of the motel. I can only imagine how lovely it must be in the summer. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. There were some special treats left for us as well. Very quiet location. We will definitely stay there again.
Great personal service is the key here. Trish takes personal care of every one. Rooms are fresh smelling and super clean, the lobby alone is worth a stop. I stayed in a room with a kitchenette and it had everything needed. Nice grounds, well looked after.
We love the friendly antique vibe here. The rooms have been renovated while keeping some old features: our bathroom has new faucets and tub surround with an adorable pink toilet and bathtub. Antique style is everywhere, and some things I remember from my grandparents' home! Very cute! I wish I had time to try the outdoor hot tub hidden in the wisteria vines. The outdoor greenspace areas are really nice. Everything is quiet, and any road noise is not heard inside the room while we had the window and door shut. It's barely an issue anytime since the road itself is quiet. The nearby town of Kimberly is a jem, and they provide a list of recommended places to go to. We had a great time!!
We were there as part of our honeymoon roadtrip in August, and it might just be one of our favourite stays on the trip! Yes, it looks a little dated when you first come in, but this is a place that is well-kept with a whole lot of love (and even a yummy dessert loaf coming your way when you check in!). Rooms are clean, there's some fun quirky decor everywhere, and yes - there's even a hot tub for your use! Shoutout to the owners for such a lovely place, and thanks for the wine too! It was great. If we're ever back in the area (I hope so, I've loved the area since I was a kid) we'll be back!
Great stay here for a weekend of skiing. Upon arrival, the sweet lady owner gave us a little treat package containing chocolates and a homemade banana loaf. Such a nice touch! The rooms are clean and the decor is antique, but that's the whole charm of this place! The outdoor hottub was a great way to relax after a day of skiing. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
It's just few minutes to Kimberly and if you want a quiet area, vintage and unique style, and love history, this a good place to stay. The sweet owners always have some sweet goodies! I enjoy the rhubarb bread she gave us.
